The 11th edition was billed to start by 7 p.m. but did not begin until 10 p.m.
That observance of ‘African time’ ended up evoking feelings of derision among many who stayed up to witness it.
It must be said that organisers hoped to start on time this year. Hopefully, they will get it right next year.
Forget that we may have said that last year too, though.
