Frank Ocean’s contribution to the song is sorta out there, if we’re being truthful. And that’s not a bad thing! Ocean has been experimenting with pitch changes in his music a ton over the last year—the high-pitched crooning on “Nikes” is a perfect example of this—and he sounds right at home on “Rolls Royce Bitch,” regardless of what effects are embedded under his voice.
Considering some of his contributions to music this year, like his guest spot on “RAF” alongside ASAP Rocky, Quavo, and more, we’re getting a healthy dose of Frank actually rapping this year. While he’s always had it in his wheelhouse, it’s nice to see him letting that part of his talent shine in 2017, and he’s more than welcome to drop some more bars whenever he’s feeling.
