Mackelmore’s new album Gemini is three
days away, hitting retailers and streaming services on Friday (Sept.
22). His first project in over a decade without producer Ryan Lewis,
Macklemore’s solo LP features guest appearances by Lil’ Yachty, Offset,
Skylar Grey and various up-and-coming artists from the rapper’s hometown
of Seattle.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis came into
the scene scorching hot. The duo made a name for themselves through
making radio-friendly hip hop that was able to transcend demographics.
After “Thrift Store” took over the world, both of them were inescapable
entities in the music industry.
