Mavin Records acts, Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, D’Prince, Tiwa Savage, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello
One of Nigeria’s leading music labels, Mavin Records is celebrating a milestone of 20 million views for its hit song, ‘Dorobucci’ two years after release.
The video for the award-winning song which was directed by Nic Roux and shot on location in South Africa, achieved the milestone days ago. It was released on June 23, 2014.
Don Jazzy,
the group’s head, revealed Mavin now has a total of 100 million views
for music videos since the label’s creation in 2012. He thanked fans for
their support as he wrote, ‘Massive thanks to you all. 20m is not beans. GOD BLESS. #Mavin.’
The song won an award for ‘Best Pop Single’ at the 2014 Headies, and a MTV MAMA 2015 award for ‘Song of the Year’.
