Public stunts are usually designed to
attract the public’s attention to an event or a worthy cause. But some
of our Nigerian entertainers have taken it too far, to idiotic heights.
What our celebs perhaps need to realize is they lose a lot of respect when the stunts go wrong.
1.
Where is Skiibii now?
The Five Star Music singer knowingly or unknowingly buried his fresh talent when he was suspected of forging his own death.
Despite several interviews granted where he refuted the claims and the sacking of manager Soso Soberekon who’s now back with the record label, Skiibii is yet to rise from the dead as regards his music career.
Well, he may BLOW in future.

Seyi Shay with her illiteracy and ‘oversabi’
It was permissible when Seyi Shay said that an EP means an ‘Electrical Package’ – well, she may have taken an engineering course while in school.
However, Seyi admitting to not knowing who Tiwa Savage in public was not cool having appeared in adverts together.
And amidst several public blunders, claiming that Wizkid sold a track to Drake without proof is a classic case of oversabi.
Dear Seyi, if you don’t want to Shay in the future, please get a lock.

The K-Solo and Kikelomo ‘Wife Battery Stunt’
In 2012, one of the most reported entertainment stories was the K-Solo and Kikelomo marriage break-up. The music producer had been accused by his wife Kikelomo of wife battery, assault and theft.
With the story spiralling out of control, the couple granted an interview with Channels TV in August 2012 where they both said the marriage crisis had been a ‘publicity stunt’ all along and they enjoyed every bit of it.
In reality though, it looks like the foundation of dissolution had been laid as the marriage finally crashed a few weeks after.

Toke Makinwa’s ‘Pre-wedding Break-up Stunt’
In December 2013, news broke that popular OAP, Toke Makinwa’s decade-old relationship with Maje Ayida had crashed. A few weeks later, in January 2014, the couple held a secret wedding proving that the break-up tale was a PR stunt to divert attention away from their wedding.
18 months later, the marriage officially crashed with tales of Maje Ayida impregnating his ex girlfriend and life has not been the same for both of them.
TV girl Toke recently filed a divorce petition dated March 9, 2016 through her lawyers seeking an official dissolution of the marriage citing adultery, cruelty and irreconcilable differences as her reasons.

Oritsefemi and Danku admitting their fouls publicly after a year
Involving your mothers for the sake of a publicity stunt is sheer idiocy.
The car owner brouhaha and police arrest were not pretty either and admitting it was all a stunt deserves a spanking.
In an exclusive chat with Killertunesng, Oritsefemi says, ‘I’m sorry for whatever we may have caused our friends and fans but now me and my homeboy we are cool now. It was all a publicity stunt’.
Asked about the police arrest and accusations over the past year, Oritsefemi says, ‘my brother the important thing now is that am cool with my homeboy like I said earlier it’s all a stunt and that’s how the industry works. Danku is now part of my management team and I can assure you that there’s no more fight’.
Oritsefemi at the stage of reviving his career after a slump in the needs to get into studio and deliver what the streets want to listen to, rather than shooting himself in the foot.
